Help Me Choose a Wall Color

I love looking at paint colors... I could spend hours flipping through fan decks.  With all of the blank walls in this new townhouse, I'm spending even more time than usual daydreaming about color.

I can't believe I've never used the Sherwin Williams Paint Color Visualizer before now!  I'm currently deciding what color to use in our master bedroom.  Here are some of the colors I tried

SW ponder

SW midnight

SW less brown

SW interesting aqua

SW sensuous gray

SW mink

I love how the variations in the Su Casa dresser are highlighted in different ways, depending on the color behind it.  I know that I shouldn't be decorating around a piece of furniture that I might not be able to keep, but I think it is a great jump off point.  The bed and window treatments will be solid white, so just about any color will work with those fixed elements in the room.

So, spill it!  What's your favorite?  Let me know in the comments or on my facebook page!

Blessings,
Jamie

I like the mink. It looks so calming and with the white bed it think I could just stay in there for hours.

  10. I would go for the Less Brown, personally. I <3 brown with blue as a lot of bedding has this combo, yet the wall color would be so versatile.

  11. Go with a very light shade of decorator gray. I used it in every room in my house that I built 2 years ago after hurricane Katrina destroyed my former house. I trimmed every room in white. My plan was to get this gray walls/white trim done quickly, then change over to different colors later when I had time to decide what furniture to put into the house (yes, I lost EVERYTHING!). Two years later I'm still loving the gray walls/white trim and every accent color I use looks great with this light gray.

  17. I'm having so much fun helping to decorate your room. Thanks for asking for our opinions. That dresser is beautiful. I've learned so much reading Maria Killiam's blog "Color Me Happy." She is a color specialists and talks a lot of decorating around fixed components in a room, like the carpeting. She has some great information about under-tones in beige which may help since your carpet looks beige (not sure about it - it may just be the photographs). Can't wait to see the final choice.

  18. I like ponder and aqua, but I don't think there's a bad option in the bunch. I been in the process of picking paint coors too and it's hard! So many different things to consider.

  19. I like the ponder because it would be easy to change things in and out of the room (& bc I'm not very brave!) but I'm also drawn to the aqua. So pretty!!!
